Description of LAK-17B





LAK-17B is new version of LAK17A. Regarding A version, B has new wings with modified geometry and new wing profile, which allow even higher wing loadings than competitors. Fuselage and tail section is identical like A version. LAK17BT "turbo" is also available, with same engine (Solo 2350B) like LAK17AT!

New wings

From the start designed for 18m wigspan with possible 15m tips. New aerodinamic knowledge lead to new wing airfoils, which are based on higher maximum lift coeficient. This princip proved to be very succesfull on Diana 2 and ASG29. With new airfoil there are better climb performance, with higher wing loading, especially in turbulent thermals. Maximum take off weight with 18m wing span is 600kg, which mean wing loading 58kg/m2! In 15m konfiguration wing loading goes to unbelivable 60kg/m2. Competition results will show the rest!
